Human Rights

"Freedom is the recognition that no single person, no single authority of government has a monopoly on the truth, but that every individual life is infinitely precious, that every one of us put on this world has been put there for a reason and has something to offer."

President Ronald Reagan

Moscow State University, 1988

America remains the greatest force for human good in the entire world. In the 20th century, we liberated the camps and defeated Communism. Today, as people continue to live in fear of persecution under dictatorship, American values of liberty, freedom and human dignity bring hope to millions. As a Senator, I will do my part to continue the great American tradition of standing up for human rights.
