Garzon-Anguiano allegedly drove a 1995 Oldsmobile with California license plate 2BSK558 to the Port of Entry in Calexico, Calif. He was ordered to open the trunk of the vehicle for inspection. Both Garzon-Anguiano and the passenger, Lazaro Beltran fled the area and ran back to Mexico on foot. The abandoned vehicle was laden with 923 pounds of cocaine unconcealed in the trunk. Garzon-Anguiano still allegedly continues his drug smuggling activities and is continuing to "climb up" the Arellano-Felix Drug Trafficking Organization. At this time, Garzon-Anguiano remains a fugitive and may reside in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. Garzon-Anguiano is believed to and should be considered armed and dangerous.
