F-15 "Eagle"
The F-15 Eagle is an all-weather, extremely maneuverable, tactical fighter designed to permit the Air Force to gain and maintain air supremacy over the battlefield.
C-130 "Hercules"
The C-130 Hercules primarily performs the tactical portion of the airlift mission. The aircraft is capable of operating from rough, dirt strips and is the prime transport for air dropping troops and equipment into hostile areas.
KC-135 "Stratotanker"
The KC-135 Stratotanker provides the core aerial refueling capability for the United States Air Force and has excelled in this role for more than 50 years. It also provides aerial refueling support to Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps and allied nation aircraft.
E-3 "Sentry" (AWACS)
The E-3 Sentry is an airborne warning and control system, or AWACS, aircraft with an integrated command and control battle management, or C2BM, surveillance, target detection, and tracking platform.
AH-64 "Apache Longbow"
Conducts rear, close, and shaping missions including deep precision strike. Conducts distributed operations, precision strikes against relocatable targets, and provides armed reconnaissance when required in day, night, obscured battlefield and adverse weather conditions.
UH-60 "Black Hawk"
Provide air assault, general support, aeromedical evacuation, command and control and special operations support to combat and stability and support operations.
CH-47 "Chinook"
Transport ground forces, supplies, ammunition and other battle-critical cargo in support of worldwide combat and contingency operations.
"PATRIOT"
Provide defense of critical assets and maneuver forces belonging to the corps and to echelons above corps against aircraft, cruise missiles, and tactical ballistic missiles.
HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle)
Provide a common light tactical vehicle capability. Replaced the quarter-ton jeep, M718A1 ambulance, half-ton Mule, 1.25-ton Gamma Goat, and M792 ambulance.
F/A-18 "Hornet"
All-weather fighter and attack aircraft. The single-seat F/A-18 Hornet is the nation's first strike-fighter. It was designed for traditional strike applications such as interdiction and close air support without compromising its fighter capabilities.
