Sites of Care

The Fayetteville VAMC operates Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in Jacksonville, Hamlet, Robeson, and Wilmington, North Carolina which serve more than 16,000 patients residing in those nearby counties. Our Community Based Outpatient Clinics provide Primary Care, Mental Health Care and offer Tele-health services for other specialties. The Brunswick County Outreach Center in Supply, NC provides basic medical and Tele-mental health care to Veterans in and around the area.  The Village Green ancillary off-site annex for primary care is located in Fayetteville serving more than 12,000 unique Veterans’ health care needs.   Fayetteville is proud to have opened the first Dialysis Center in the VA health system nationwide.  This is a free standing dialysis unit that has the capacity to treat 64 dialysis patients.  Co-located with the Dialysis Center is the Compensation & Pension (C&P) program to provide Veterans access to C&P exams when filing for disability compensation.  Additional sites of care include the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) located at Fort Bragg Army Base and Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base in NC.  The IDES program minimizes the gap between service separation and VA benefits delivery.  To care for Veteran residents at the main medical center, our Community Living Center serves as host to the Fayetteville, North Carolina State Veterans home, a 150-bed long-term nursing home facility located adjacent to the medical center.  We also utilize leased space in Fayetteville and Jacksonville to provide Readjustment Counseling Services for Veterans at the Vet Centers.

Waiting Areas

For your convenience and safety, we have special waiting areas throughout the facility. Please do not gather in the hallways or at the nurses' stations. You may also want to review our Visiting Hours and Policies.

We have volunteers who work in the Intensive Care waiting areas at specific times. Please check in, and give the volunteer the patient's name. If you leave the waiting area at any time, please let the volunteer know, in case we need to contact you.
