Welcome to a New Year at Kaiserslautern Middle School, Home of the Invaders! It is with great anticipation that the KMS team welcomes you to the 2012-2013 school year. We are looking forward to an exciting and productive year. As the administrative team of Kaiserslautern Middle school, we are committed to maintaining a school-wide commitment to providing each child with access to rigorous academics while focusing on individual student and family needs.
It is our goal to work as a collaborative team including school and community in order to ensure academic and social success for each of our students. Our vision of being: (Standards Based-Data Driven-Student Focused-Highest Student Achievement) should be evident throughout our school. Please collaborate with us when suggestions for improvement may arise.
Keep in mind that safety and security are KMS’ first priority in providing an awesome education to your child. With that said, feel free to speak to a member of our school administration and faculty anytime regarding the school environment or concerns that must be addressed. We hope that you notice the improvements made to the facility which included efforts by school faculty, parents, and students. We will continue to have campus beautification volunteer opportunities, look for more information in our upcoming newsletters.
In lieu of our newcomer’s orientation, we welcome all new and returning students and parents to our Open House on August 27, 2012 starting with the Parent-Teacher-Student Association (PTSA) sponsored lunch. Our sponsored lunch and activities will be held in the rear courtyard behind KMS at 1120 AM. Parents who want to be more involved in our school are welcome to join our PTSA or contact our school faculty directly to take advantage of opportunities to volunteer here at Kaiserslautern Middle School.
