NMFS Opens Directed Fishing for Pollock in Statistical Area 630 of the Gulf of Alaska
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is opening directed fishing for pollock in Statistical Area 630 (between 147 degrees and 154 degrees W. longitudes) of the Gulf of Alaska for 72 hours, effective 1200 hrs, Alaska local time (A.l.t.), March 21, 2012, through 1200 hrs, A.l.t., March 24, 2012, according to James W. Balsiger, Administrator, Alaska Region, NMFS.

This action is necessary to fully use the B season allowance of the 2012 total allowable catch of pollock specified for Statistical Area 630. Other closures remain in full force and effect.
