E-Donate Is A Simple, Speedy and Safe New Way to Make Online Donations to Support the Needs of Maryland’s Veterans

E-Donate, a new online donation option, provides local community members, area businesses and various nonprofit organizations a simple and safe way to pledge their support for the needs of hospitalized Veterans throughout the VA Maryland Health Care System.

“For years we have received requests for an online donation option to allow local community members to show their support for the men and women who served our country in uniform and are now receiving VA health care,” said Dennis H. Smith, Director of the VA Maryland Health Care System. “With E-Donate, local community members can now take five minutes online to thank hospitalized Veterans in any number of important ways.”

The E-Donate option allows donors to select from a number of accounts that are designated to support the specific needs of Veteran patients throughout the VA Maryland Health Care System.  Since all administrative costs throughout the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) are congressionally appropriated, 100 percent of every donation through E-Donate will go to support the needs of hospitalized Veterans and the specific account selected by the donor.

“Donated money to the VA Maryland Health Care System can go to support Homeless Veterans programs or any number of other services that will directly benefit the needs of our Veteran patients, said Smith. “It is amazing how far community contributions can go toward making a difference in the lives of our nation’s Veterans.”

Donors can find this new option for making an online donation to support Maryland’s Veterans by clicking on E-Donation.  Donations can be made by credit or debit card.  The actual donation is made through a secure site at the U.S. Department of Treasury.  A minimum of $5.00 is required for all online donations through E-Donate.

Below is a listing of important accounts that are in need of support to benefit Veteran patients throughout the VA Maryland Health Care:
