Energy

During my time in the Senate, I've been a strong supporter of our domestic energy industry, and specifically the 9+ million Americans that are employed thanks to our abundant fossil fuel resources.   As a Ranking Member of the Senate Environment and Public Works committee, I've fought for free market economics in energy production, rather than the command and control policies that continue to fail around the world.  My specific focus includes:

Increasing access to our abundant domestic resources that are made available from advances in technology and private capital.

Calling out the Obama Administration for its repeated missteps and junk science war on hydraulic fracturing.

Offering comprehensive energy legislation to allow multiple projects being held hostage to move forward, including the Keystone XL pipeline.

Shedding light on EPA overregulation that is crushing jobs and preventing a strong economic recovery.
