The Lincoln Resource Center is the Information Resource Center of the U.S. Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

The Lincoln Resource Center has partnered with several Malaysian public libraries to make available to the public special Americana collections called Lincoln Corners. Today there are eight Lincoln Corners in public libraries in Kuala Lumpur (KL City Library), Johor (Sultan Ismail Library), Penang (Georgetown & Seberang Jaya), Kedah (Alor Setar), Kelantan (Kota Bharu), Melaka, Sabah (Kota Kinabalu) and Sarawak (Kuching) click here - PDF 558kb.

Special collections of high quality U.S. publications and multimedia products are available for reference or viewing at the Lincoln Corners or for loan. The Lincoln Corners also feature special seminars and other programs which enable Malaysians and Americans to discuss topics of mutual interest and/or to share ideas and learn from each other’s experience. State-of-the-art digital video conferencing facilities donated to the Lincoln Corners in KL, Sabah, Sarawak, and Kedah enable additional programming in this dynamic and globalized world comprising different time zones. Lincoln Resource Center (LRC), originally known as the U.S. Information Service (USIS) library, opened its doors to the Malaysian public on February 15, 1950 and continues to provide the most up-to-date and accurate information about U.S. policies, education, geography, history, society, culture, etc.

Named after President Abraham Lincoln, the Lincoln Resource Center provides reference and referral services on all aspects about the United States of America. Fields covered include foreign affairs, U.S. political and social processes, economics, finance, trade, education, biotechnology, arts, culture, etc.
