Special Note For Finnish Applicants:

As the U.S. Embassy Helsinki has resumed processing non-immigrant visas, applicants living in Finland (especially persons who are not citizens of Finland) are strongly encouraged to apply in Helsinki.  Any Finnish resident who applies in Tallinn should be able to clearly explain why it is not feasible to apply in Helsinki.  If you decide to apply in Tallinn, you must present a receipt showing payment of the application fee to the U.S. Embassy's Estonian SEB Bank account.  Payments to the account of the U.S. Embassy in Helsinki will not be accepted.  Electronic payments from Finland to the U.S. Embassy's account at SEB Bank in Tallinn may take 3 - 5 days for processing.  Thus, if the payment is not credited to our account as of the date of your appointment, we will not be able to continue with the visa interview.  Accordingly, you are strongly encouraged to visit an Estonian bank branch in person and make the payment with a bank teller in cash before coming to the Embassy for your visa interview appointment.  The bank branches nearest to the U.S. Embassy where you can make a payment are:  (i) Swedbank, located at Rävala Puiestee 5 (opens at 9 am)*, (ii) Swedbank, located in Kawe Plaza at Pärnu Maantee 15 (opens at 10 am) and (ii) SEB Bank located at Roosikrantsi 2 (opens at 10 am).  You should print this page and present our account number to the teller at the time of payment!

*Note:  Visas are rarely ready on the same day as your visa interview.  Accordingly, you may wish to visit the DHL office in the same building as the Swedbank branch at Rävala Puiestee 5 where you can arrange a pre-paid envelope for shipment of your passport back to Finland.  The DHL office opens at 9:30 am.
