Robert Shull, son of Nobel Laureate Clifford Shull, visited ORNL on November 16, 2012, and met with staff at the Spallation Neutron Source. Clifford Shull is often referred to as the “father of neutron scattering” and did much of his pioneering work at ORNL. Robert Shull is also a recognized scientist and leads the Magnetic Materials Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
