Transit Visas

People that travel directly through the United States to a third country require transit, or C-1, visas unless they qualify for the Visa Waiver Program which they can use to transit at a US port of entry. All C-1 applicants must satisfy the consular officer that their only purpose for making a stop in the US is to continue immediately on their travel to another country. What’s more, they need to show evidence of funds to finance their trip through the US.

Consideration for transit visas will only be given when specific travel arrangements (although not necessarily purchased tickets) are presented.
