Adding Visa Pages

If your passport is running out of available visa pages, you may request to have additional pages added to your passport for a fee. Apply in person at the Consular Office for additional pages using Form DS-4085. Our office can usually perform this service while you wait.

Note that additional pages should not be added to passports that are damaged, worn, or have already received additional visa pages. You should plan to apply for a new passport in these situations. For information on how to apply for a passport, please consult the Department of State’s website.

American Citizens should make appointments for passport services online at the Embassy’s ACS Online Appointment System. The Consular Office welcomes applicants Monday-Friday, between 2:00 and 3:30 p.m. We try to assist all customers, but cannot guarantee service to those who fail to make an appointment. American Citizens with emergency needs are not required to make an appointment. All passport services should be submitted in person. Though in some countries certain passport services can be provided via the U.S. Embassy by mail – for instance, some passport renewal applications – the Consular Office at the U.S. Embassy in Rangoon advises all American citizens in Burma that, considering the unreliability of Burma’s postal system, all passport services should be conducted at the Consular Office and in person.
