Get Involved!

The most significant predictor of a student’s achievement in school and preparation for a life of success and happiness is parental involvement. Parents who are actively engaged in the educational process are partners with teachers in ensuring that their child is receiving a good education.

Some ways to get involved include, but are not limited to:

  • Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
  • School Advisory Committee (SAC)
  • Installation Advisory Committee (IAC)
  • School Improvement Leadership Team
  • Volunteer Field Trip Chaperone
  • Guest Lecturer or Reader
  • Assist in Classrooms
  • Awards Assemblies
  • Tutoring

We need parent volunteers in all areas. Many of our parents volunteer in classrooms as chaperones, room parents, classroom aides, etc. If interested in doing these kinds of things, please contact your child’s classroom teacher.

If you’d prefer to volunteer outside of the classroom, or if you have special skills in areas of art, music, Physical Education and would like to share your talent, please contact the office at 226-2647. Services of volunteers are also used in our library, reading programs, and special education programs.

You may download a Volunteer Form (Volunteer Application DoDEA Form 4700.3), required for chaperoning and assisting in classrooms. This form will initiate a background check to ensure that we are compliance with student safety and security.
