Air Force to Air Guard
Palace Front Program Option 1
If your commitment is ending and you don't plan to re-enlist, the Palace Front program allows you to make a seamless transition into a part-time military position with the Air Guard, with no break in military service.
Palace Chase Program Option 2
The Palace Chase program allows eligible Air Force members to honorably exit the Air Force early and serve part-time in the Air Guard.

The Air National Guard is a great place to continue your military career. You can keep the military benefits you've come to rely on - including your retirement plan and health insurance. And since you serve part-time, you can pursue a full-time civilian career, with plenty of time left for your family and friends. Best of all, you'll continue to experience the camaraderie and pride of military service. |

| Age | You must be below the magic number of 40. Subtract your years of service from your age. If the result is less than 40, you may be eligible to join the Air National Guard. |
| Written Examination | You must have valid ASVAB scores for the job selection process. |
| Entrance Physical Examination |
You must get a current military physical for the job selection process. |
| Strong Moral Character |
Air Guard looks for new recruits to have a strong sense of pride and respectable moral character. |
| Tattoos |
Certain tattoos may not be allowed based on size, location, and content but your recruiter will make the final decision. |
| Other |
You must have a good RE code on your DD 214, or an eligible Discharge Order from ALL of your military components served. |
