Message from the Ambassador

I’ve had many valuable experiences as an attorney and businessman, first as a homebuilder and then as CEO of my own company, but none was more important or more relevant to my role as U.S. Ambassador to Luxembourg than working on President Obama’s Export Council.
There, I was fortunate enough to work with many CEO’s of large American corporations and my Harvard Business School professors to help craft a plan to double American exports in five years.  This background has turned out to be a good preparation to be Ambassador here in Luxembourg because the leaders here – both in government and the private sector – really want to do business.  And they also really want to do business with the United States, as well as other less traditional partners like Qatar and China for example.

Current Highlights

Major trade shows occur regularly at Luxembourg's convention and exposition center Luxexpo.

A new congress center recently opened to host EU committee meetings as well as business conferences and events such as the annual ALFI (Association of Luxembourg Fund Industry) conferences.
