Q: How long will it take for my new passport to be processed?
A: All passports are printed in the United States and couriered back to Sanaa. Assuming that your application is in order at the time of submission, your passport will be ready in approximately one month from the date you submitted the application.
Q: Will I get my passport back when I renew it?
A: Yes. In nearly all cases, your old passport will be cancelled and returned to you. If we are not able to return your old passport for any reason, we will discuss this with you at the time of application.
Q: I have downloaded the passport forms and note that the instructions on the forms are different from those on the website. Which instructions should I follow?
A: You should disregard the instructions on the passport forms as they refer specifically to passport applications submitted in the United States. You should only follow the instructions on this website.
