Lieutenant Colonel Hall was raised in Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and Physics before earning his commission through the Officer Candidates Course in 1994.

Upon completion of The Basic School and the Assault Amphibian Officer’s Course, he reported to the 3D Assault Amphibian Battalion in Camp Pendleton, California in September 1995. During this tour, he served as a platoon commander in Echo Company to include a WESTPAC deployment while attached to Battalion Landing Team 3/1 in support of the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit/USS Essex Amphibious Ready Group. After returning from WESTPAC, Lieutenant Hall commanded the Mobility/Counter-Mobility Platoon.

Promoted to Captain in January 1999, Captain Hall took command of Bravo Company at the Marine Barracks, 8th&I, in Washington, DC and was also accepted into the White House Military Social Aide program. Serving the Clinton White House, Captain Hall was the Officer-In-Charge of protocol and VIP escorting for the NATO 50th Anniversary Ball and numerous State Dinners.

Upon graduation from the Command and Control Systems School in Quantico, VA, in 2001, Captain Hall assumed command of Charlie Company, 2D Assault Amphibian Battalion in Camp LeJeune, North Carolina. During this tour, he deployed with 2D AABN in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Upon his return in June of 2003, Captain Hall was reassigned to serve as the Assistant Inspector Instructor for the 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion in Tampa, Florida. Promoted to Major in November, 2004, he then volunteered to deploy as an Individual Augment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom III. For this assignment he served as the Deputy Senior Advisor to the Military Transition Team in Fallujah, Iraq. He was embedded into the Second Brigade of the Iraqi Intervention Forces and was responsible for teaching, coaching, and supporting his Iraqi counterparts in combat operations.

In 2007, Major Hall completed the resident course of instruction at the Command and Staff College in Quantico, Virginia. Departing as a Distinguished Graduate, Major Hall returned to the 3D Assault Amphibian Battalion to serve as the Executive Officer. Returning to Iraq for his third tour in 2008, Major Hall reported to Regimental Combat Team 5 for service as the Future Operations and Plans Officer.

In 2009, Major Hall was selected to participate in the Congressional Fellowship Program where he served as the Military Legislative Aide to Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher who represented California’s 10th District. As the Military Legislative Aide, Major Hall drafted legislation, prepared hearing testimony, and wrote speeches for the Congresswoman while also serving as her principal advisor in military affairs.

Following his Congressional Fellowship, Major Hall transferred to the Marine Corps Combat Development Command in Quantico, Virginia in 2010 where he was promoted to his current rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Serving as the Operations Officer in the G-3/5 Division, Lieutenant Colonel Hall performed a wide range of duties in direct support of the Deputy Commandant for Combat Development and Integration that included: preparation of Congressional testimony for the Deputy Commandant, speechwriting, and serving as subject matter expert for amphibious operations.

LtCol. Hall holds a Master’s Degree in Military Studies and his personal decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two gold stars, and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with gold star, Meritorious Volunteer Service Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon.
