Sanctuary Ecosystem Assessment (SEA) Surveys

Sanctuary Ecosystem Assessment Surveys (SEA Surveys) is a compilation of GFNMS monitoring programs that provide the biological observations and habitat characterization for the Gulf of the Farallones region. SEA Surveys include several long-term, established monitoring programs such as Beach Watch, SEA Surveys - Pelagic Habitat, and Rocky Intertidal Monitoring programs. SEA Surveys will also include future monitoring and exploration programs such as investigating the suitability of sanctuary expansion to Pioneer Seamount and along the Sonoma County coast, invasive species detection, restoration and monitoring, estuarine habitat monitoring stations, and water quality monitoring stations.
