Biographical Sketch

Hank Childs is a computer systems engineer at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and also a professional researcher at UC Davis. He is most well known as the architect of VisIt, a popular visualization and analysis tool for very large data. Hank is a member of the NERSC Analytics team, as well as the Chief Software Architect of VACET, the SciDAC center devoted to visualization and analysis. Hank received both his B.S. and Ph.D. from UC Davis. His website can be found here.
