Sreenshot of current FSS eNewsletterOn December 21, 2011, the VA announced that all of its 152 medical centers are not actively represented on Facebook, the world’s largest social networking site.  To date, the VA has over 150 Facebook pages, 64 Twitter feeds, an active YouTube channel, and a robust Flickr account.  Learn how the VA is using its vast social media presence to break down long perceived barriers between the Department and its stakeholders as well as how the VA FSS Service intends to expand its own social network in the month’s to come in the News You Can Use section!

This month’s training topic reviews the Competition in Contracting Act (CICA) of 1984 and how it applies to VA Federal Supply Schedule contracts.

Additionally, this month’s edition includes:

  • A New Year’s message from the Director;

  • Reminder for contractors to submit their 1st Quarter Sales reports and IFF payments;

  • Finally, this month’s edition provides a listing of recent presidentially declared emergency and disaster declarations that are eligible under the Disaster Recovery Program and a complete list of FSS contracts awarded in December 2011.
