CARE Model: Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Tool for African American Women

The CARE Model is a SAS macro is a Gauss software program that allows researchers to estimate an African American woman's risk of developing invasive breast cancer. The CARE Model may be updated periodically as new data or research becomes available. 

The Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Tool has been updated to include the CARE Model information. Both tools are designed for use by health professionals and researchers. 

If you are not a health professional, you are encouraged to discuss the results and your personal risk of breast cancer with your doctor.

Download Software: 

Download the zip file and unpack it an appropriate directory. The zip file contains ReadMe.pdf with further instructions.
  • Download the AABrCa_RAM.zip file and unpack it an appropriate directory.
  • Follow the instructions in the ReadMe file.
