The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the State of Louisiana’s Office of Coastal Protection joint project development team was awarded the 2011 Coastal Stewardship Award by the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana organization in recognition of their work on the Louisiana Coastal Area (LCA) “6” projects, which focus on large-scale coastal restoration in Southeast Louisiana.

This remarkable team effort included over 150 individuals from ten Army Corps of Engineers districts, the State of Louisiana, federal agencies, and numerous other partners.
