Vet Centers: provide readjustment counseling and assistance in dealing with the uniquely stressful conditions of military service. Veterans and family members are welcome, with no waiting lists and nontraditional after-hours appointments. Vet Centers also provide bereavement counseling services for families. Veterans Crisis Line: Connects Veterans in crisis and their families and friends with qualified responders through a confidential toll-free hotline, online chat, or text. Veterans and their loved ones can call 1-800-273-8255, chat online, or send a text message to 838255 to receive confidential support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. PTSD Coach: Learn about and manage symptoms that commonly occur after trauma, including tools for screening and tracking your symptoms and convenient, easy-to-use skills to help you handle stress. |

Caregiver Support: If you are the Family Caregiver of a Veteran who was injured post-9/11, you may be eligible for additional services through VA, including a stipend, comprehensive training and medical coverage through VA. Fisher House: A 'home away from home' for families and caregivers of patients receiving medical care at major military and VA medical centers. Homes are normally located within walking distance of the treatment facility. Burial and Memorial Services: Burial benefits available for spouses and dependents buried in a national cemetery include burial with the Veteran, perpetual care, and the spouse or dependents name and date of birth and death inscribed on the Veteran's headstone.
