AMRDEC is excited to participate in collaborative efforts with domestic partners, including other federal government agencies, state and local governments, businesses and universities. AMRDEC has a number of business arrangements and offices to facilitate the exchange of information and/or establish relationships for technology development. These include:

OFFICE OF RESEARCH & TECHNOLOGY (ORTA)
The ORTA manages AMRDEC&s technology transfer programs, including Cooperative Research And Development Agreements (CRADA), Patent License Agreements, Facilities Use Agreements, and Cooperative Agreements.

SMALL BUSINESS INNOVATION RESEARCH (SBIR)
The SBIR Program provides small businesses and research institutions with opportunities to participate in government-sponsored R&D.

STRATEGIC INITIATIVES OFFICE (SIO)
The SIO supports AMRDEC&s business development efforts through program development and collaboration with Other Government Agencies (OGAs), primarily within the Homeland Security / Homeland Defense communities and the U.S. Department of Energy.

TECHNICAL INDUSTRIAL LIAISON OFFICE (TILO)
The TILO manages the Unsolicited Proposal Program, the Unfunded Study Program, and the Army Potential Contractor Program. The TILO provides technical expertise in support of contract opportunities for Small Businesses and Historically Black Colleges/Universities and Minority Institutions.

BROAD AGENCY ANNOUNCEMENTS
BAAs are open solicitations for proposals. They provide opportunities for funded scientific research to fulfill identified requirements. AMRDEC posts all BAAs at www.fedbizopps.gov. Detailed instructions on submitting a proposal are included in each BAA.

TEST SERVICE AGREEMENT
AMRDEC provides testing services to private industry, offering low-cost services, unique testing facilities, highly rated and experienced staff, state-of-the-art equipment, test plan development, data analysis and report preparation.

MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA)
Memoranda that define general areas of conditional agreement between two or more parties. The MOA describes that which one party does is dependent on what the other party does. MOAs may establish responsibilities for providing recurring reimbursable support.

INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT (IAA)
An IAA is the legal instrument used for an interagency exchange of funds for goods/services between Federal agencies.

PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICE (PAO)
The PAO works to provide guidance, management and oversight of all AMRDEC public affairs activities in the areas of public information, media and community relations.

INFORMATION OFFICE (IO)
The IO provides support to all of AMRDEC for Mission Support networking, Information Assurance (IA) and Technical Publications.

REDSTONE SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION CENTER (RSIC)
The world&s largest aerospace scientific information center, RSIC is staffed with degreed information professionals with expertise in a variety of scientific and technical fields, houses an extensive scientific and technical collection, and provides accurate and timely information and services needed by researchers and engineers at Redstone Arsenal and the Tennessee Valley.

AMRDEC SAFETY OFFICE (ASO)
The ASO supports our Army at war by collecting, storing, analyzing and disseminating actionable information to assist Leaders, Soldiers, Families and Civilians in preserving/protecting our Army's combat resources.

ARMY COMMON OPERATING ENVIRONMENT (AR-COE)
AR-COE is an Army project providing software updates to the Warfighter ; tools that are deployed on a wide variety of computing platforms.
