Lincoln Learning Centers (LLCs)
Lincoln Learning Centers (LLCs)—similar to American Corners in the rest of the world—are partnerships between U.S. Embassy Kabul and the Afghan government. They provide access to current and reliable information about the U.S. through book collections, Internet connections, and programming for the general public. They are open, accessible, and free-of-charge. In Afghanistan, LLCs are often the only place an average person can find books and access the Internet. Examples of the programs run at the LLCs include English conversation clubs, computer and Internet courses, events for internationally-recognized holidays, speakers on America, and screenings of American movies and documentaries.
