Did you know that Livermore Laboratory is the largest employer in the city of Livermore and the fourth largest in Alameda County? We are also one of the largest employers of Tracy residents. We are proud that Lab employees are important members of their communities and that they actively engage in city government, volunteerism and charitable giving.

There are many opportunities, both through the Laboratory and through outside resources, for you to become involved. Various programs are listed below.

Alameda County Science & Engineering Fair Judges are needed for this annual science fair competition serving 7-12 graders. The fair is held at Chabot College in late March. Nadine Horner 925-423-9051

Local Educational Programs

Expanding Your Horizons in Math & Science Workshop presenters, career fair participants and general assistants are needed for two math and science career conferences serving middle and high school girls. Conferences are held in San Ramon and Stockton. Sarah Roberts (925) 423-4112
MathCounts Math coaches are needed to work with middle school students in Livermore. The program is run by the school district and culminates in an annual ccompetition in January.
