U.S.-POLISH SHARED ENERGY PRIORITIES

The United States and Poland have a strong, dynamic economic partnership and a common goal of promoting economic security and prosperity.  Our close business and investment ties provide a foundation for cooperation on a variety shared priorities.  The United States and Poland work together to meet global challenges, including the global economic crisis, climate change and energy security.

The United States and Poland share an interest in harnessing new technologies to expand and diversify the energy resources we use, to improve the efficiency with which we use them, to ensure the long-term sustainability of our energy mix, and to reduce carbon emissions.  Accordingly, the United States and Poland cooperate on a number of initiatives to facilitate the development and deployment of the very latest in energy and emissions reduction technologies.
