The H1N1 influenza, more commonly called "swine influenza," appears to be similar to seasonal flu at this time. Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center is working to ensure all Team Lackland members and their families and DoD beneficiaries are informed with the latest information about H1N1. This Web page will provide you resources and preventive measures for your awareness. Please check for periodic updates regarding the situation in Texas as well as for information to help prevent the spread of the disease.

tabSeason Flu Shot Information 
Flu vaccines are now available at Wilford Hall. Individuals 2 years of age and older may receive the flu vaccine at the Flu Vaccine Fast Track in the Wilford Hall atrium Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children 6 months to 2 years of age will need to receive the vaccine in the Wilford Hall immunizations clinic. This vaccine is MANDATORY for all active duty. Call Immunizations at 292-5730 for more information.
tabH1N1 Vaccine Update 
2/16/10- H1N1 VACCCINE REQUIRED BY 1 MAR - The H1N1 vaccine is mandatory for all active duty members, civilian health care workers, and contract health care workers, and is due no later than 1 Mar 2010. At that time members will be considered delinquent. If there are questions regarding the requirement, please see either your Commander or the contracting office. The vaccine is highly encouraged for all other employees  and dependents.  For more information, contact WHASC Immunizations at 210-292-5730.

1/8/10- H1NI FLU VACCINE NOW AVAILABLE FOR ALL - 
The Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center Immunizations clinic now has H1N1 flu vaccine for all active duty members and dependents. The vaccine is mandatory for all active duty members, to include active duty and civilian health care workers. The vaccine is also available for civilian employees on Lackland AFB. It is highly encouraged for non-medical civilians and contractors. The clinic hours of operation are Mon, Wed, Thu, and Fri: 0730-1600, and Tue: 0730-1500. Call 210-292-5730 for more information.
