Useful Links for Currency Denomination

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is committed to help blind and other visually impaired persons better denominate U.S. paper currency. BEP has taken advantage of the latest technology to provide some immediate assistance to the blind and visually impaired with the development of EyeNote®, a free mobile device application (app) that identifies denominations of U.S. paper currency and communicates its value back to the user.  Listen to a video that describes how EyeNote® works. Since its release in 2010, there have been more than 8,000 downloads of EyeNote® through the Apple App StoreSM

In addition to Eyenote®, there are other currency denominating apps from independent vendors available as well.  We have listed those we are aware of by operating system below. Please note that some of these apps are free, while others charge a user’s fee.
