Information Resource Center
The Information Resource Center (IRC) is the research and reference service of the U.S. Embassy in Belarus. It aims to support all programs of the U.S. Mission in Belarus by providing current and authoritative information on the United States and the issues of importance to U.S.-Belarus relations.
Outreach and Programming
The IRC staff conducts daily information outreach programs via a number of listservs distributing key U.S. official documents, selected articles from the Washington File, U.S. media reports, and electronic journals.
IRC provides information support for all programs of the U.S. Mission in Belarus. The IRC also conducts programs for English-language and American Studies specialists, NGO resource centers, and the library and information science community of Belarus.
Services
The IRC staff offers high quality reference and research services to Belarusian community. The IRC staff assists individuals in locating information if they have serious academic and professional research interest in the United States. Fields of research include:

High speed Internet connectivity that ensures easy access to current government and public information about the United States
- Electronic reference resources, including CD-ROM (PDF, 31KB) and online databases that provide access to a broad variety of U.S. multimedia, bibliographic, and other materials
- U.S. Government publications in Russian, Belarusian and English that provide information about all spheres of the U.S.

The IRC resources are accessible by appointment on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To make an appointment, call +375 17 211-06-76. Reference requests may be sent by e-mail to irc@usembassy.minsk.by or fax +375 17 211-03-84. Closed on U.S. and Belarusian holidays. All services are free.
