Cycling - The last time Blair Reels Jr. rode a bicycle was when he was in college. That was before he joined the Army, before he was in Iraq and before a car bomb hit the Humvee he was in while he was in the gunner’s hatch. But this past Monday, Blair, an Army Veteran from Albany, New York, rode a bike for the first time since his college days. (9/26/2011)

Kayking - With a slight mist in the chilly morning air, Team Neptune and Team Phoenix arrived at Mission Bay Yacht Club energetic and ready to kayak. Rowing - The fog was thick as Team Titan and Team Mercury arrived at the United States Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista for a day of Track and Field events. Veterans set sail for new skills and discoveries - Sailing, the oldest sporting event in the world, encourages a love for the open water and an opportunity to connect with nature. There is an indescribable rush that comes over you, a feeling of freedom and confidence when you master the skills needed to sail a boat. That was a universal experience for Veterans on teams Poseidon and Mercury, who were learning to sail in beautiful San Diego harbor. (9/20/2011)
