The Public Affairs section of the U.S. Consulate General liaises with the local media in Punjab province. The Press office works closely with Pakistani print and electronic media in the Punjab to provide authoritative information on U.S. government policies and programs. The Press office arranges interviews with Consulate General officials for local media, conducts press briefings by Consulate officers or visiting U.S. government officials, and disseminates speeches, policy statements, press releases, and special publications about issues or events of interest to the people of Pakistan. These materials are generally available in both English and Urdu. The Press office also manages the Consulate General's social media platforms and online outreach efforts.
