    The Fulbright Program is by excellence the premier exchange program of the U.S. State Department. This program provides its participants (chosen por their academic merits and leadership potential) the opportunity to study, to teach, to research or to exchange ideas.

Please note recruitment for the International Fulbright Science and Technology Program has been suspended for the 2013-2014 program year. Decisions for the 2012 cohort have already been announced. Please check with the Fulbright Commission or U.S. Embassy in your home country to learn of updates for program recruitment in spring 2013.

 

International Fulbright Science and Technology Program

The Fulbright Science & Technology Award (Fulbright S & T) is a worldwide competition from which approximately 40 exceptional candidates in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) attend top U.S. university programs. This award is designed to be among the most prestigious international scholarships in science and technology. Applicants selected to be grantees, known as Fulbright Science & Technology Fellows, will begin their three years of U.S. government sponsorship at U.S. institutions in the Fall of 2013. At the conclusion of the three year period, the U.S. university may provide the additional resources to complete the doctoral degree. William Fulbright, to increase the mutual understanding between people of the United States and other countries of the world. Fulbright is a prestigious scholarship program for talented students with excellent scholastic background. Faculty Development Program

The objective of the Fulbright-LASPAU program is to support the development of faculty members at Nicaraguan universities by offering scholarships for master’s and doctoral studies at U.S. universities to dedicated professionals in higher education with excellent scholastic capacities. The program selects highly qualified professors dedicated to excellence in higher education studies. Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship

The Humphrey Program was initiated in 1978 to honor the memory and accomplishments of the late Senator and Vice-President, Hubert H. Humphrey. This program brings accomplished professionals from designated countries to the United States at a mid-point in their career for a year of study and related professional experience. During the fellowship year, the Humphrey fellows participate in programs that combine graduate-level academic coursework with professional development activities. The Fulbright NEXUS Program offers a collaborative model for regional scholarly exchange that moves beyond theory.
