Immigrant Visas

General Information

The Embassy in Conakry does not process immigrant visas; immigrant visas for citizens and residents of Guinea are handled by the US Embassies in Dakar, Senegal, or Accra, Ghana for individuals who qualify for permanent residence in the United States. Please see the websites for these two Embassies for specific information on Immigration Visa processing as it pertains to you.

The Embassy does process Visas 92/93 follow-to-join refugee/asylee cases on Tuesday mornings from Information about follow-to-join refugee/asylee cases-Visas 92/93, if applicable. For IV cases where the principal applicant adjusts status in the U.S., note that NVC provides full case pre-processing for follow-to-join family member cases.
