    Chargé d’Affaires Julia Stanley delivered the commencement address for The International Community School of Abidjan graduation ceremony on June 11, 2011. The ceremony was held in the Embassy Atrium. In addition to sharing some of her experiences as a diplomat, Chargé Stanley also congratulated the students and faculty for their perseverance during challenging times and urged them to continue practicing the values of compassion, service to others and hard work. She was presented with an ICSA Class of 2011 stole and a bouquet of flowers by the graduating students...

  • The New American Embassy Abidjan

    On July 12, 2005, the new Embassy of the United States of America in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire was opened. It is the largest embassy in West Africa and will allow the diplomatic operations in Côte d'Ivoire to be greatly enhanced through more centralized and efficient services. The Embassy is the result of three years of work by Americans and Ivoirians working side by side on the project.
