Wyoming has the lowest population of any U.S. state. In fact, with only about six people per square mile, there are more pronghorn antelope and deer than human residents. It is a place of unspoiled mountain vistas and vast forested wilderness, home of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Wyoming is also one of the few remaining parts of the United States where the West is indeed still wild. Stay at an authentic dude ranch, soak in hot springs, experience the thrill of a rodeo or fish in the crystal-clear streams.

Jackson Hole to Yellowstone (drive the lower loop), back over Togwotee Pass to Dubois, and then retrace your steps back to Jackson.

Favourite souvenirs

Wyoming’s unique licence plate. Available real (at flea markets) or made as a souvenir.

Don't overlook this...

Sinks Canyon State Park is the site of an amazing ‘disappearing river’ phenomenon. It has beautiful hiking trails and is easily accessible by car.

Only have one day here?

Yellowstone National Park—but it will definitely take more than one day.

Outdoor excitement

  • Snowmobiling and ATV riding in and near our five national forests
  • Skydiving at Teton Village and Jackson Hole
