I was also scammed by someone called SGT James Rellinger and i wish to report this as i have addresses….there are 2 people involved in this, one is in Nigeria and the other is in California, the real James does know this is going on and also wants it to stop.He has also got an account open on My Yearbook and also Datemate….beware ladies they are still about.

Understanding that there is a reported shortage of experienced upcoming officers in the US Army, and having the privilege to be a university instructor to several current and former students who happen to be recently separated (within the past 8 – 12 months) enlisted soldiers from the US Army – all with a rank of E5 or E6, I am making an effort to obtain accurate information on their behalf.

I have sent the following message to US Army Recruiting command at Ft. Knox, KY on Jun 14, Jun 18, & Jun 22 with no response. USAREC at TRADOC Cyber recruiting doesn’t appear to have the answers either as none of their responses addresses the questions asked. Recruiters are giving less than accurate information.

Is there anyone who can actually answer the questions these soldiers have?

I am writing in an effort to clarify some information and gain some accurate answers on behalf of several of my current and former Hawaii Pacific University students who happen to be recently (within the past 8 months) separated enlisted soldiers from the US Army – all with a rank of E5 or E6.

Recent media recruiting has indicated that there are recruiting bonuses being offered to former enlisted soldiers who want to rejoin the US Army and already qualify for Officer Candidate School. Although these students have contacted local recruiting offices, they have been unable to obtain accurate information regarding the bonuses, which MOS they apply to, when they are available, or if the media OCS recruiting information is accurate and timely.

As these students and soldiers college instructor, I am asking for accurate information regarding the bonuses, the sign-up process, and the contact information of the person these former soldiers can contact in order to fill out the paperwork.

An example of one of the soldier’s is the following: a previously enlisted soldier (5 yrs active duty) who reached the rank of E5, MOS 35M, deployed 2x’s to Iraq, TSS+ clearance, interrogation and analysis certifications, Army Basic Instructor Course certified, has been contracted to teach at AIT & MCC. This former soldier has a completed Bachelors degree and started Masters Degree? Soldier’s goal is to become a career US Army MI officer.
Who would the soldier contact directly for accurate information?

In 1961 I was a Government Patrol Officer in Papua New Guinea at Kokoda.
In that year I discovered an American B25 in the mountains and returned the crew remains to their families in US. I later took two US army mortuary personnel based in Hawaii to the crash site. They were Lt. Bill Wheeler and Sgt. Hank Paolilo. I would appreciate it if anybody can put me in contact with either or both of these persons. Our company would be interested in hiring medical personnel who are former military – those who have honorable discharges and are now seeking civilian jobs. Could anyone tell me a good website (or other information) for posting a job where former military medical personnel would see it? I am the mother of a young man 18 yrs old who just enlisted. Is there a site for family members to become members of or is the recruit the only one permitted to be members of an official site.

I feel the guard trained at Camp Shelby Miss was a waste of time and money. Plus the camp was there to put the guard under house arrest, while active duty troops got to see thier families every night before they deployed , I know I was active for 14 yrs. Double standard in training and treatment, and they tought us nothing about Iraq training at all.

Another idea is to contact the Warrior Transition Command and see it you can get involved in the Career Fairs that they have regularly for hiring the Wounded Warriors. Most of them do an Internship first and then if you are satisfied with their work you can offer them a fulltime position.
There is also Operation Warfighter. All can be found online.

I know of a soldier that came back on leave from Iraq just before Christmas. He decided not to go back when his leave was up despite talks from former vets like me and his grandfather. Needless to say there is a lot of frustration and anger towards this kid over this, but what also has me upset is the lack of follow up from the army. He is telling his parents that basically they can’t do anything to him for 30 days and at that time he will just go back to Ft. Hood and apply for a dishonorable discharge. Is this correct? Has the Army changed this much since I was in. What I remember for AWOLs was jail time and then a dishonorable discharge and doing this during wartime was akin to treason. I can’t believe and am deeply disappointed that the Army is not sending MPs to his house. This kid is sitting at home playing video games all day while his fellow soldiers are putting their life on the line and nobody is doing anything!! His parents are torn about what to do. Does anyone understand why the Army wouldn’t be pursuing this?

Contact the Army IG (Inspector General Office) in DC. The Legal Beagles. There are lots pouring their hearts out on this Blog and it seems pretty useless to me.
