“Protecting the Marine Life of PNG – Earth Day Art Contest winners will receive wonderful prizes”

Port Moresby – In celebration of Earth Day, NCDC and the U.S. Embassy are holding an “Earth Day 2010 Art Contest.” The theme of this year’s contest is “Protecting the Marine Life of Papua New Guinea.” All residents of Papua New Guinea are invited to participate by creating art, from any medium, which represents the beautiful marine life of PNG and why you believe it should be protected. NCDC and the U.S. Embassy are pleased to announce the prizes for “The Earth Day 2010 Art Contest.”
The prizes for this year’s winners will include Domestic return tickets from Air Niugini, Mobile Phones from Bmobile, an MP3 Player from Daltron and City Pharmacy gift certificates from CPL. There is still time to participate in the art contest. To participate, please submit art work by 4:00pm, Friday, April 16th. (note: works arriving after this date will not be considered) to:

Please include the artist’s name, age, phone number, email and school or business name. There will be four age groups (0-5, 6-11, 12-17 and 18+) and winners will be selected from each group.
