Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program
The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program brings mid-career professionals from developing countries, who have exemplified leadership in public service, to the United States for one year of study and practical, work-related experience.

International Leaders in Education Program (ILEP)
ILEP brings outstanding secondary teachers to the United States to further develop expertise in their subject areas, enhance their teaching skills, and increase their knowledge about the United States. ILEP participants attend a semester-long academic program at U.S. universities, which includes coursework and intensive training in teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and the use of technology for education. The program includes an 8-week internship at a U.S. secondary school.

 

Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (TEA)
TEA provides secondary-school teachers with unique opportunities to develop expertise in their subject areas, enhance their teaching skills, and increase their knowledge about the United States. TEA teachers travel to the United States to participate in a six-week professional development program at a U.S. university. 

 

International Visitor Program
The International Visitor Program sends grantees to the United States to meet with professional counterparts and experience first-hand the U.S. and its institutions. Several members of the past cabinet and at least three dozen members of the Bangladesh Parliament have been International Visitors. Others have included leaders in business, academics, and journalists.

Citizen Exchange Programs
The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs’ Office of Citizen Exchanges supports a variety of professional, youth, cultural, and sports exchanges programs to further the U.S. foreign policy, to provide foreign participants with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and understanding so they can better address the challenges facing their countries, and to offer Americans the opportunity to share their expertise and experience with their foreign counterparts.

English Language Fellow Program
The English Language Fellow Program fosters mutual understanding between the people of the United States and those of other countries by sending talented, highly qualified U.S. educators in the field of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) on ten-month fellowships to overseas academic institutions in all regions of the world.

Conflict Transformation Across Cultures (CONTACT) Program
CONTACT is a short-term, concentrated, and intense educational immersion program for rising leaders from around the world who are engaged in responding to conflict, promoting social change, and building sustainable peace. CONTACT offers professional development programs and a graduate certificate program in conflict transformation, leading to a Master’s Degree at the SIT Graduate Institute.

Community Solutions Program
The Community Solutions Program is a professional development program for the best and brightest global community leaders working in Transparency & Accountability, Tolerance & Conflict Resolution, Environmental Issues, and Women & Gender Issues.
