U.S. Mission in Iraq to Host Information Session for Organizations Interested in Applying for Ambassador’s Fund Grant

The U.S. Mission in Iraq, through the Ambassador’s Fund Program, is seeking Statements of Interest that offer creative and effective approaches to promote reconciliation and stability in Iraq and to improve the institutional capacity of Iraqi organizations and local communities.  Awards will range from USD 200,000 to USD 500,000, although smaller and larger awards may be considered.  Organizations interested in submitting a Statement of Interest should visit www.grants.gov and look for announcement code NEAI-NEAIQ-13-003 for information on eligibility, registration, application procedures, and deadlines.  Information can also be found on the Embassy’s official website at www.iraq.usembassy.gov/ambassadors_fund and its Facebook page at www.facebook.com/embassybaghdad

Applicants are encouraged to begin the process as soon as possible.  The application deadline for the first round of reviews is March 31, 2013.  All questions regarding the Ambassador’s Fund should be directed to Iraq-Assist@state.gov.

The U.S. Mission in Iraq will hold a conference call and digital video conferences to provide additional information during the week of February 11th-15th for Iraqi applicants interested in applying.
