Other Exchanges Opportunities
 

The following are other exchange opportunities facilitated or administered by the U.S Embassy in Kuala Lumpur designed to promote a deeper understanding of the United States on the part of global audiences and vice versa.

International Visitors Program: The International Visitor Leadership Program operates under authority of the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act of 1961 (Fulbright-Hays Act). The emphasis of the program is to increase mutual understanding through communication at the personal and professional levels. The program duration is usually three weeks and involves travel to Washington, DC and several cities. Participation is by invitation only.

Symposium on East Asian Security (SEAS): This Department of Defense and Department of State program brings security experts from East Asian countries to the U.S. Pacific Command in Hawaii and several countries in the region to examine and discuss security issues.  Participation is by invitation only.

Women Mentoring Program: This program brings leading mid-level women managers/entrepreneurs to the U.S. for a year, working under the guidance of top American women CEOs.  Participation is by invitation only.

Citizen Exchange Programs: The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, through its Citizen Exchanges Division, supports a variety of professional, youth, cultural, and sports exchange programs to promote mutual understanding by furthering participants knowledge of the United States.
