Welcome to our Virtual Presence Post (VPP).

The United States sees the establishment of this web site as an important step in the strengthening of ties between the U.S. and Maldives.  The VPP is a new diplomacy tool that enables the United States to have a presence in regions where there is no Embassy or Consulate physically located.  The Maldives VPP will enable us to utilize new communication technologies, along with our traditional outreach efforts, to deepen our engagement with the Maldivian people and the region.
