The Zama Local Tours Information, Ticket and Registration Office known as "Local Tours" is jointly located at the Outdoor Recreation in building 719. Local Tours provides in-country tours. Local Tours utilizes 4 fleets of deluxe motor coach to transport customers to scheduled destinations.

Individual services are available with reservations, transportation, ticket sales for concerts and/or special events, hotel reservations and general travel information. Enjoy the highest quality tour program in Japan!

The Local Tour brochure is available on a monthly basis. It is available in print or you can receive it via e-mail by registering for our mailing list by e-mailing usarmy.zama.imcom-pacific.mbx.usagj-dfmwr-outdoor-rec-t@mail.mil. Reservations for tours may be made using a credit card by phone, fax and email. Custom sightseeing packages are available for Private Organizations, Family Readiness Groups and Units.

The VIP Card Program is rewarding repeat customers a complimentary $50 tour after completion of 7 regular tours. Local Tours is now offering Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers BOSS discounts. On Tuesdays BOSS members can register for the following weekend trips for half the regular price on a space-available basis. BOSS members will receive 10% off any regular tour, 7 days a week.

Local Tour destinations include overnight sightseeing trips to the historic cities of Kyoto and Nara, and day trips including Fuji Five Lakes, Kamakura, Hakone, Nikko, Mt. Fuji Climb, Fertility Festival and Alpine Ski trips to many of the famous Nagano and Niigata ski slopes. Developed this year was a "Learn To Ski" - Day Trips for both adults and youth.
