The Information Resource Center (IRC) section of the U.S. Embassy website is the "information booth" where we hope you'll find whatever you were looking for but couldn't find in other sections.

The IRC provides reference, referral and documentation service for researchers, journalists, govt officials, and others with a professional or scholarly interest in the United States. Qualified information resource specialists can assist with your inquiries about the U.S.

The IRC can provide personalized alert services on topics relating to U.S. policy and topical issues. If you need assistance from the IRC in connection with your work call 2130 8996 between 14.00 and 16.00 or send an email to osloIRC@state.gov.

Limitations

The IRC does not answer queries about  visas to the United States or about other consular matters. For consular information,  please check the Consular pages of our website.
