Mission
“Responsible for all protocol aspects of TRADOC events hosted by the CG and DCG/CoS, TRADOC. Provide advice to the TRADOC staff and subordinate commands and organizations on protocol technical matters.“


ESO provides protocol support and assists in planning and executing:
3- and 4-star meetings and conferences hosted by CG and DCG/CofS, TRADOC (i.e., Quarterly Futures Review, TRADOC Senior Leaders Conference, Association of the United States Army, etc.).

General officer retirement and promotion ceremonies, upon request.

Annual Commander's Holiday Reception and other special events.

ESO also provides guidance to the staff and subordinate commands and organizations on protocol technical matters.
Visits by domestic and international visitors
Approved by the DCG/CofS, TRADOC.

A standard visit consists of an office call with the hosting general officer, briefings, lunch, cultural event, and gift exchange.

SECARMY contingency funds are available for authorized guests. Expenditures are approved by the Deputy Chief of Staff.

Each visit is primarily supported by the lead agency; ESO assists.

On occasions when a spouse accompanies the visitor, a separate agenda is prepared.

A roster of Distinguished Visitors and Significant Events (Intranet) occurring throughout the command is maintained.

TRADOC Memorandum 1-16
Establishes policies, responsibilities, and administrative procedures governing distinguished visitors to HQ TRADOC.

ESO is responsible for scheduling requests to use the Morelli Auditorium.  The Office of the Commanding General (OCG) is responsible for scheduling requests to use the Command Conference Room.
