Sensor Science and Technology Group

Welcome

The Sensors and Controls Research (SCR) Group in the Measurement Science and Systems Engineering Division of the Energy and Environmental Sciences Directorate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory develops sensors and sensor systems for applications that advance science, improve energy efficiency, or enhance national security. Our thrust areas are new sensors and sensor systems and Analysis, Characterization, and Technology Support (ACTS) for instrumentation systems. Application areas focus on the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and industries that align with DOE, nuclear nonproliferation, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Our major facility is the Environmental Effects Laboratory which supports the ACTS program.
