• Ambassador Kounalakis Awards Harman/Becker Automotive Systems and Brunswick Hungary for Community Programs
  On April 24, 2012, Ambassador Kounalakis presented Active Citizenship awards to Harman/Becker Automotive Systems and Brunswick Hungary for their support of community programs in Székesfehérvár, Hungary. With these awards, the U.S. Embassy is recognizing the importance of community social responsibility programs of American companies in Hungary.
• U.S.-Hungarian Agreement on Intellectual Property
  The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (HIPO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Thursday, April 5, 2012 that will streamline and expedite patent recognition between the United States and Hungary.
• BRAND USA Unveils “Discover America” (April 26, 2012)
  As part of President Obama’s initiative to increase travel to the United States and the U.S. Travel Promotion Act, federal legislation passed in March 2010 which established a public-private partnership between the travel industry and the U.S. government dedicated to increasing international visitation to the U.S., BRAND USA recently launched “Discover America”, which web site offers in-depth coverage of the 50 states, five U.S. territories, and 50+ individual city destinations, as well as hundreds of useful links.
