Passports
U.S. citizens in The Bahamas or Turks and Caicos Islands can submit their application for a U.S. passport to the American Citizen Services Unit at the U.S. Embassy in Nassau. The actual printing of the passport books takes place at the National Passport Processing Center in the United States, where a passport incorporating a digitized image and other enhanced security features can be produced. This process generally takes five to ten working days. Please take this extra time into consideration when applying for or renewing passports at the Embassy, and plan your travel accordingly.
In addition to presenting original documents for the issuance of a passport, you must make good copies of all documents to be submitted for each applicant - including US passports, US birth certificates, Naturalization Certificates, Consular Report of Birth Abroad and parents passports.
The method of application and requirements will depend on a number of factors. Please follow the link below that best describes your request.
