Eric P. Dominijanni was born in Forest Hills, NY on November 10th, 1972.  He graduated from Forest Hills High School, Queens, NY in 1990.  After graduation he attended New York University part-time and then transferred to Mercy College on an Academic/Track scholarship graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Pre-Med in May 1997.

 

After college he attended OCS and graduated as 2ndLt Dominijanni on December 12th 1997. 

After graduating TBS in May 1998 2ndLt Dominijanni executed orders to Pensacola, Fl for flight training.  While in Pensacola he attended Aviation Maintenance Officer’s course.  In 1999 he executed orders to Amphibian Officer’s course in Camp Pendleton, San Diego receiving the 1803 MOS and then checked into B Co, 3d AABn.  Shortly afterwards 1stLt Dominijanni deployed to Okinawa via the UDP as a Platoon Commander.  After completion of the UDP, he crossdecked to C Co as the Executive Officer for a second UDP.

In 2001, Capt Dominijanni attended the LAV Leader’s Course and then served as the S3A and S3T to H&S Co.

In 2002, he executed orders to D Co, Twentynine Palms where he served as Executive Officer deploying to Iraq during OIF 1.  Afterwards, while the Main Body was deployed to Okinawa he served as OIC for the RBE.

In 2004, he executed orders to EWS in Quantico, Va.

In 2005, he executed orders to 2d AABn and served as Commanding Officer, C Co, 2nd AABn where he supported several MEUs and relief efforts in the wake of hurricane KATRINA. 

He later assumed command of B Co, 2d AABn and deployed in 2006 to Camp Fallujah, Iraq as Commanding Officer, TEAM GATOR.

In 2007, he assumed duties as the Fallujah District Police Transition Team (PTT) leader and deployed to Fallujah, Iraq in 2008 as a Major.

In 2009 Major Dominijanni reported to Marine Forces South in Doral Fl where he served as the Caribbean Desk Officer and the TRADEWINDS Exercise Planner and Director.  During this time he received his Master’s in Education.  After completion of this tour he reported to his current assignment with 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion as the Company Commander for D Company in Twentynine Palms, Ca. 

 

Major Dominijanni’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Combat Action Ribbon.
